I found this whilst googling “mascarpone hot cocoa”). Even tho I never make tiramisu with chocolate—I’m a strictly espresso/mascarpone/liquor/ladyfingers type—I’d try this. It is in some ways similar to my thickened salted hot cocoa. (very easy, make hot cocoa of your choice, preferably w/evap milk, thicken w/ 1 tsp tapioca starch or arrowroot, pour over whipped cream already in cup. dash of sea salt. Dear God.)

Hi Migle,

When I first decided to do this recipe I thought about using brown sugar! However, since its was my first trial I followed the instructions exactly !! its good thing that I did because the taste of mandarin is overwhelming and I don’t know how mandarin and caramel would fit together? You can try and let me know what are your findings are!

Such an interesting recipe! I may want to try it ou! Do you think brown sugar would work as well as white one? It may add a slight note of the caramel… :)
