I don’t talk about my personal life much, in fact generally I’m a “listener”. I like to hear people talking about their adventures, experiences, journeys, and stories. I always meet people who ask me why am I so quiet? isn’t there are any topics that interest you? “I’m a big chatter” I would answer, ” don’t you read my blog?”
My friend Shiakha, went to Mombai in a business trip for three months. I don’t believe she was excited in the beginning .. When we mention India an image of a very large, bad smelling country, full of diseases would be the typical vision. Despite this belief, she was willing to go, and take the chance to see something new!
I remember the night before she left. We went to a restaurant to celebrate her last day in Kuwait, celebrating our final face to face chat and to eat till full stomach”which what we always do together”. At that time, didn’t want to say good bye .. I wanted her to stay and be with us!!
Two days ago, she sent me SMS message informing me that she decided to surprise her family and come in the new year eve .. Although, she was coming only for a couple of days, I was amazed and happy as well .. I wanted to see her, talk to her, and hear her Indian tails .
“India is amazing, I love it, and I’m missing it already” she admitted .. “What?” I said surprised .. “You just came yesterday!” I protested .. “Yeah, I know but I’m happy that I’m going back soon” she said .. “wait a minute” I was shocked .. “is it that good?” I asked her .. “I’ve been to many places and visited different countries and I’ve seen a big variety of cultures .. however, I’d never seen a place like India .. it’s unique .. totally unique” .. “Okay ?” I said waiting to hear more from here, then my other friend asked here “where did the smelly, full of diseases country gone?” .. “the smell is there, in fact you will be introduced to a variety of bad odors wherever you go!” she answered. However, your nose will get used to it by the time! and for the diseases, guess what? I’ve started to eat from the street and nothing happened to me!” she said.
It was a very long, funy, and joyful conversation .. at the end I asked her if I can take a picture, and posted in my blog since I’m going to write bout her and the Indian trip? ”sure” she said.
Namaste India .. form the bottom of my heart!
