I found this Tiramisu pancakes recipe the other day. I liked the idea of implementing the Tiramisu flavor on different dishes and drinks. That’s why I decided in the beginning to adapt the cream recipe and make my own chocolate crepe, since I didn’t post any crepe recipe. However, at the end of my cooking experiment, I found that the crepe paste wasn’t that good! On the other hand, the cream ,or the dip, whatever you like to call it, was so delicious and genuine. That’s why I decided to post half of the recipe today and repost Tiramisu crepes recipe when I get a successful one in the future.
This Tiramisu cream is really amazing and easy to make in the same time. Since you can use it with different kind of homemade chocolaty sweets, pancakes, crepes, waffles etc; the cream contains coffee flavor. In fact, when the crepe paste turned to be a complete failure I started to eat the cream by tablespoon. Spoon after another until the cream was finished. I believe that if you keep the cream in the freezer the whole night you will get the best tiramisu ice cream ever … by adding some chocolate syrup on the top .. I can imagine the taste melting in my mouth right now .. Yummy .. I think I will give this idea a try soon !
Tiramisu Dip
Tiramisu cream was adapted from The Ivory Hut, tiramisu pancakes recipe.
Tiramisu cream ingredients
4 oz. mascarpone cheese
1 cup whipping cream
2 tablespoons coffee liqueur
2 tablespoons maple syrup
dash of instant coffee powder for garnish
dash of chocolate powder for garnish
Making the cream
Beat the mascarpone cheese, whipping cream, coffee and maple syrup together and whip until you have soft peaks. Place it in the refrigerator for one to two hours. The garnishing is optional, however it adds very good taste to the cream. After the cream is cool enough, add the instant coffee and chocolate powder to the top. Serve with anything contain chocolate it will be a delicious addition.
enjoy with love,
Maryam

I absolutely can’t wait to make this. I bough some mascarpone cheese weeks ago just to have on hand. Now I know what I’m going to do with it. Thank you for the recipe!
Tiramisu is a favorite dessert in our house. This filling would be perfect in one of my crepe recipes. Thanks for sharing!
I love your recipes. They are great.
May I ask you where you find mascarpone cheese in Kuwait?
Thanks
Dear Fatma, first thing welcome
you can find mascarpone cheese in LuLu hypermarket. Wish you the best!
I love this idea, maybe even serve it with lady fingers…. or with pound cake and fruit as a “fondue”
in high school our school cafeteria used to serve a thing called “chocolate nachos” with delicious crsipy puff pastry “corn chips” and a tiramisu type dip which was supposed to sub the salsa/guaca/sour cream.
your post inspires me to recreate this delicious time in my youth :)
Dear cookie, I’ll be grateful if you shared the chocolate nachos with me! Regards
