Noodles with Chicken

When people got busy with their jobs and women started to work, eating out started to increase as well. Restaurants increased in number and provided us with a variety of choices. Seafood, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, American and so on. All of these reasons made cooking at home difficult and hard to implement. So restaurants became a solution for these problems.

What happened next was interesting! A revolution came .. people started to prepare their meals again. That happened because of three things. The first, rising of awareness. People came to know that the quality and the way of cooking food may effect their health “you are what you eat”. The second was financial issues; costs became too high and the income is not enough. The third, missing the taste of home made meals.

Noodles

The question here is how to reach that and in the same time cook something easy, simple and delicious (compared with top restaurants)? This was an issue. So a need of recipes resources increased. A lot of cooking books were published, and still the number increases every year. Cooking websites and blogs have been created. Magazine articles and TV shows were also involved. All media types are talking about one topic cooking.

Cooking became an art more than three meals everyday. An art every body enjoy, kids, adults, teenagers, men and women. So because cooking is important this much some techniques and tips are provided in many places to improve the way of cooking any meal. In this blog I will list some of them occasionally to create a reference for me and you which makes cooking life easier. Wishing for all of you the best.

Onion

The first technique I’m introducing today is Preparing and Cooking Ahead.

The best thing about many dishes is that they can be prepared in advance and cooked when required. This advantage do two things, the first keep stress levels low. The second, ensures that success levels remain high.

Garlic

Let us start with dishes that does not require cooking such as Salads. In this types of dishes preparation is the critical point. In this case you can wash the salad leaves and dry them, one leave at a time. Then bag and put in the refrigerator”personally after drying I will cover them with paper towels”. This step will not ensure only that the leaves are ready at the last minute, but it also will make them become crisper on standing.

Although that is good to speed up the preparing the salad dish, but the valuable nutrients will be lost. So my advice is to use the advanced preparation only when you know you will be in a hurry later.

When I thaught of this recipe I was realy hungry. I didn’t eat anything since morning so I was starving at that time. The thing is I used to cook this meal so ofthen last year but I don’t why I have stopped since then. Today I decided to cook it again and remember the old days! (just joking) The recipe is easy even if you are not a good cook. The critical thing here is the Noodles it self! do not over boil it that will effect the whole dish. This recipe is good to be done for lunch and dinner. All you have to do is to follow the recipe step by step and everything will be just fine. At the end all what you have to do is enjoy what you are cooking.

onion and gralic

This is my first Chinese recipe hope not the last. I don’t know why but I always feel that Japanese and Chinese recipes are difficult, that is because of two reasons. The first is, the ingreadinets availability. There are some stuff which is not there in the market. The second, I’m not used to cook this kind of recipes, although I like to eat them alot but cooking them (I have to think about it!). I just don’t know if I can take the challenge or not.

Adapted from my friend Manal.

For Noodles

Cook instant Noodles as directed in the back of the pack, but without using the included oil and spices. Drain in a colander.

For the chicken breasts

Wash the chicken breasts with warm filtered water. In medium seized bowl place the breasts and cover it with salt and lemon juice for half an hour. Before washing the breasts again add then vinegar to the lemon juice and salt mixture 30 seconds. Wash the breasts, boil in hot water for 15-20 minutes. Cut in very small pieces.

Final stage

Place the onion, garlic, ginger and pour the 2 tablespoons of oil in medium sized skillet. Adjust the heat to medium. Wait till the onion take brown color. Then add green, red and yellow bell pepper slices to the mixture. Cover the skillet until all the bell peppers tender. After that add the chicken breast, soy sauce, pepper flakes, salt, small corns, mushroom and the noodles. Mix all the ingredients together. Cover and let cook for another 15 minutes. Stir from time to time. If all the water evaporated add the 1/3 cup warm water and cover again. Let cook again till all the water evaporate. Your meal is done and ready to be served.
