
My plan was different at the beginning. I planned to publish a cheesecake recipe post. But this plan was changed with another burgers recipe. I think there is a secret behind that which I don’t know. All what I know that is I should follow my instinct. I feel that the right time for the cheesecake recipe didn’t come yet. Insteade this is the perfect timing to publish this mini burgers recipe. I always follow my feelings because I used to find at the end that it was righ . So our recipe today is another burgers with different ingredients and different size.
I spend a lot off time in my working office, so when I reach my home I feel so tired to cook. Usually My family will save some of their lunch for me until I come back (since I live with them) but the problem is our national food usually will be rice and pieces of meat (red or white). Which is not sutable for me, I’m trying to follow a regime full of fruits and vegetables. I don’t want to be vegetarian! but trying to make my eating method more healthy, to maintain my health and body shape.
The best thing about these burgers is that after preparing you can freeze them to the time of serving. Which is very useful solution for people who are a hungry and in hurry. You can prepare them in your spare time in the weekends for example, then eat them in any busy working day. Or you can prepare them for unexpected visitors. It will be useful tip for you. Also it is a good way to encourage your kids to eat healthy stuff. Usually kids likes minis stuff.

last but not least, this recipe was created by me. So there is no adoption from any person, site or book. I’m realy happy with what I have achieved at this level.
The ingeredents for this mini burgers are as following
1 medium Sized Potato
1 medium Sized Carrot
1 cup of frozen Peas (can be fresh)
1 cup of frozen green split peas (can be fresh)
Salt and Pepper
Whole wheat bread crumbs.
Before starting the recipe steps here are couple of things you need to do
First you will need to wash the potato using a clean vegetable scrubbing brush. rinse well and don’t soap. Cut away any hard and darkened spots, then peel it’s skin and rinse any dirt. Place the potato in a pot and cover it with water. Close the pot cover and boil till tender. Take it out from the hot water and keep it to cool down. When it becomes warm or in room tempreture chop it well.
Second examen the split peas and remove any dirt while washing. Cover the split peas with water in the cooking pot. Leave it to boil for 30 minutes approximately. While boiling ensure that you have set the heat to meduim level and also ensure that the pot cover is closed. After boiling take it out from the hot water and keep it to cool down for 10 minutes. Peel the split peas form it’s external skin. Start from the top that will be much easer to apply. When you finish chop it also.
The same thing will be done for the peas starting from washing to boiling but no peeling or chopping will be applied.
For the carrot it is very easy small step, wash it to remove any dirt. Then peel the outer skin and cut it into small pieces to make the tendering process faster ( you can do the same with the potato before boiling, cutting it into small pieces will reduce the boiling time).
Now everything is ready for the next level .. mixing the ingredients

Mix the potato, split peas and carrot. Keep the peas to end. Using the blender you can mix them all (except thr peas) and have homogenous texture. Then add salt, pepper and the bread crumbs (keep some for covering stage) to make the mixture more thick so it can be shaped easily. Take the mixture out of the blender in a separate plate then add the peas. Shape small burgers from the mixture and cover it with the remaining of bread crumbs. Freeze the burgers if you don’t want to cook them now.
To cook, oil the frying pan with small amount of oil. Place the burgers till gold color appears at the bottom then turn it to the other side.
